Philadelphia Wings vs. Colorado Mammoth – 03/25/2012

Philadelphia, Pa - The Philadelphia Wings (7-4) welcome the Colorado Mammoth (8-3) to the Wells Fargo Center for a 4p.m. match up. This is the second game of a  home and home series between these two teams. The Wings won the first match up in Denver, Colorado this past Friday evening (03/23/2012) 13-12 on a dramatic goal by Brendan Mundorf in the final seconds of a game that went back and forth between the two teams. The 13-12 victory over the Mammoth on Friday was the Wings 3rd straight victory. The Wings can clinch a playoff birth tonight with a victory over the Mammoth and a loss by the Washington Stealth. This afternoon is "Bark In the Bowl" afternoon, Wings fans can bring their dog to the game . The Wings are also celebrating the birthday of mascot Mad Dog!!

Philadelphia Wings vs. Edmonton Rush -03/17/2012

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Philadelphia Wings (5-4) welcome the Edmonton Rush (2-6) to the Wells Fargo Center for a rematch of the Wings 12-10 loss to the Rush at the Rextall Center on 02/24/2012. The Wings are coming off a 12-10 victory over the Toronto Rock and are currently in 1st place in the NLL Eastern Division. The Edmonton Rush lost to the Calgary Roughnecks 16-9 last weekend and are looking to get back into the win column. In speaking with Wings Captain Brodie Merrill on the Phildelphia Wings Flight Zone this week, the Wings are eager to get revenge against the Rush to avenge their prior loss. We should look for an improved shooting performance from the Wings as this was a main factor in the Wings dropping the 12-10 loss to Edmonton on 02/24/2012.

Wings vs Knighthawks – 3/3/12

Philadelphia, PA-- The Wings are back in Philadelphia tonight for a big rematch against the Rochester Knighthawks.  The Hawks spoiled the home opener by beating the Wings 22-12, in a game that featured over 200 minutes in penalties.  The team building activities in the final moments of the game were more memorable than the game itself.  Tonight, the Wings are honoring long time fan favorite, Dallas Eliuk.  His number is being retired and will hang from the Wells Fargo Center rafters with other Philly sports greats like Tom Marecheck, Wilt Chamberlin and Bernie Parent.  The Wings are coming off of a 12-10 loss to Edmonton and are tied atop the Eastern Division.  We will be watching the Toronto game closely as they also face off at 7:00pm.  Wings fans will be rooting for the Washington Stealth to help us claim sole possession of first place.

Wings vs Toronto Rock – 2/4/12

Philadelphia, PA-- The Wells Fargo Center has already hosted one Philly game today with the Flyers losing to the Devils 6-4 earlier today.  The ice has been cleaned and the turf rolled out as the arena switches from hockey to lacrosse.  The Wings and Rock are both out on the field now warming up for tonight's show down.  The Wings are coming into tonight's game with a two game winning streak and a 2-1 record.  The Rock (2-2) are also on a two game win streak of their own beating Rochester and Calgary.  The Wings are holding a half game lead in the East over the Rock.  This game can help the Wings get some separation in the division.  The Rock bring with them powerhouse players Garrett Billings and Josh Sanderson to try to take down rookie sensation Kevin Crowley.  Tonight's game will also put two brothers against each other, Brodie and Patrick Merrill.

Coach Mouradian is giving the referee a mouthful before heading back to the locker room.  There were two big penalties missed in the second quarter.  Drew Westervelt was held down outside of the crease by Matt Roik and a loose ball push was not called at the end of the quarter as well.  The Wings defense has played tough through most of the game but will need to focus harder in the second half.  The offense has had plenty of opportunities but are getting shut down by Roik.

Wings vs Stealth – 1/21/12

Philadelphia, PA-- The Philadelphia Wings (0-1) welcome the Washington Stealth (01-) to the Wells Fargo Center for a must win game for both teams.  The Wings dropped the home opener last week against the Rochester Knighthawks 22-12.  That game is more known for the seven fights and over 100 minutes of penalties given out in the last 25 seconds of game play.  Last week, Kevin Crowley made is rookie debut and won the fans over with 3 goals and 5 assists.  The Stealth are bringing in a high powered offense looking to get on the right track.  Rhys Duch is leading the Stealth with 4 goals last week.  However, Paul Rabil and Jeff Zywicki can light up the net as well.  Both teams will be looking to balance out last week's losses and even up their records.

We are looking at a tale of two teams with the way the Wings have been playing so far today.  They moving the ball better and getting on defense a lot faster than last week.  On the offense, they are driving to the net hard and getting a body on the defenders.  B Mill is looking like his All-Start self once again.

Wings vs Knighthawks – 1/14/12

Philadelphia, PA-- The Philadelphia Wings welcome the Rochester Knighthawks to the Wells Fargo Center for the home and season opener.  The Wings have gone through wholesale changes in the front office to the roster.  Brodie Merrill and Dan Dawson are two of the biggest changes to the roster for 2012.  The Wings fans also can look forward to the debut of number one draft pick Kevin Crowley. The Knighthawks won all 3 meetings last season.
